Deconstruction of Tyler The Creator - Yonkers/Hanging

We looked at the Tyler The Creator - Yonkers video as inspiration for our hanging. We particularly liked the camera going in and out of focus. This gave an eerie feel to the video and added an ominous effect to the scene. The colouring of black and white is simple but effective. It draws the audience's attention to the screen and highlights clearly the action being displayed. The footage is then clear and emphasied to the viewers. The different camera angles cleverly show the hanging from a variety of perspectives. We particularly liked the second angle where there is a mid shot, showing the stool falling to the ground and the legs shaking franticically. The blurred end shot is something which we may consider to recreate. It is again, a simple shot, with the two components shown in a close up angle; conveying clearly the death of the character.
